In 1995, she suffered an accident from her sport activities, but she kept on going despite the sometimes unbearable pain. Leading from the elbow, shoulder and up to the neck, she was constantly seeking help for the pain, but with little results. Unfortunately, she had another accident in the year 2000 causing slight brain and severe nerve damage, resulting in a total loss of use in her right arm. This meant no more sports or playing instruments. During this time looking for help or solution to her situation her health declined caused by lack of sleep and severe allergies.

Margrét then moved to Azores Island with her family and became involved with helping homeless and sick animals, working as an assistant at a veterinarian clinic. Working with animals changed her outlook on life and gave her hope. This is where her healing process slowly started. Animals taught her to never give up. Her family established their own animal organization on the Azores enabling them to do more work for the cause.

In 2004 after traveling and living in four different countries she moved back to Iceland. It was then she got to know a great practitioner that introduced her to the SCIO biofeedback technology.
